- The ethnicity of each character is somewhat identifiable as they have stereotypical appearance and accents, and some use a non-english language.
- The characters of different ethnic backgrounds are not hugely distinguishable by their personalities as there is not a focus on each character's personality. Only a couple of the characters are looked at in more depth, such as the man who saves the diabetic woman's life.
- Their ethnicity is shown to play a large role in the characters' lives as it causes them to constantly be at risk of being removed from the country. It is shown to be very important as the group has a known plan of how to hide to avoid that.
- The asian woman who is shown to be leading the group is shown to be more superior, as she is the one stopping the immigrants being caught, being shown to be clever and quick-thinking. The black man who saves the diabetic woman's life is also shown to be superior to the other immigrants as he is quick thinking and saves her life.
- The europeans and middle-easterns in the clip don't play a large role, getting little dialogue and not having any important actions.
In the part of the scene where Jackie is running through the kitchen shouting at the immigrants to get away, she is shown to be very well educated as her dialogue contains multiple languages and she quickly gets the immigrants moving elsewhere. This goes agains the typical stereotype of the white people being in more power as it is an asian woman who is thinking on her feet and speaking different languages. This is significant in the representation of the ethnic group as it shows her to be better than those around her, and of more importance.
When the characters are locked into a small room, the camera shows all of the characters packed together. This gives little sense of individuality in the different ethnic groups, clumping them all together as a group and only giving one character a more in-depth and individual personality. This follows the stereotype and general idea of immigrants not being important or relatable, and being seen as a group of similar people rather than individuals.
The group of immigrants are wearing clothes of low end, low pay jobs such as cleaners and cooks. In comparison, the Asian woman Jackie is wearing a suit and a fair amount of makeup, which makes her look like she has more power over the immigrants. However she does not seem to look down on them but talk to them as equals, which is an unusual view of immigrants and goes against typical british stereotypes as it makes them seem much more relatable. Towards the beginning of the clip there is a black man who is wearing a suit, showing that he is of a higher status than the immigrants, yet he also makes an effort to help the immigrants.
